Raiders Recharge For A Win Against Central

October 13, 2009
Northeast High School

Macon, GA - Northeast went into the locker room down 18 at halftime, but Northeast High also left Henderson Stadium with a 25-21 victory over the Central Chargers on Thursday, October 8.

The Chargers had great momentum going into the 2nd half after a defensive touchdown off of a special teams fumble lost by the Raiders' Michael Palmer, whose second half performance more than made up for that particular play.

The talented QB, Michael Palmer, who had a total of 262 combined yards (125 on 13 carries and 137 passing for two TD's, did what was necessary to  move the Raider offense. Daviene Hill had two touchdown catches. The entire offense did a great job of making plays around Palmer as the second half rolled on.

The defense was led by Michael Brown with three solo tackles- one assist and one quarterback sack. Derial Watson had 6 tackles and 4 assists-one forced fumble and one sack. Jacobie Sandifer had seven tackles and one assist.

The game ended with a red zone stance by Northeast's defense after Central had marched up the field on what was turning into an impressive drive before the Raiders held on to seal the victory.

The next game is Friday, October 16, at 7:30 p.m. at Thompson Stadium, against Monticello---Homecoming Game!
