Home » General NewsRecap of Wrestling Match vs PikeDecember 6, 2012 Indianapolis North Central High SchoolNorth Central Wrestling - Pike Dual - November 27, 2012
Pike vs. North Central: A depleted team (five forfeits, 30 points), resulted in Pikes 54 - 26 victory.
But there were several excellent performances to watch:
Kylan Seats (SO 120 lbs.) - Kylan is a young wrestler to watch this year. Back from injury at the start of the season, he won with a PIN!
Seth Issacs (JR 182 lbs.) - A concussion kept Seth from competing last year in Sectional. He dominated his opponent and won with a Technical Fall!
Preston Daniels (SR 195 lbs.) - This is Preston's year to shine. His opponent didn't have a chance, and he won with a PIN!
Trevon Williams (SR 220 lbs.) - A most-welcomed addition to the team this year from the Merrillville Pirates. His opponent didn't know what hit him ... PIN. Trevon is now 6 - 0! Mitchell Kessler (SO 285 lbs.) - A young "footballer" and "wrestler" with great wrestling potential. Mitchell gutted-out a tough three overtime 2 -1 Victory!
Our wrestlers never quit and fight hard. Wrestle hard for six minutes and victories will often be the result! ALUMNI AT THE MATCH: Koffi Mwinga (2011 132lbs.) Koffi was my favorite wrestler to watch last year, 5th Place Sectional Tournament, 5-0 at Hamilton Heights and selected by Coach Lou as the Outstanding Wrestler of that Tournament. He quickly picked-up, put down and PINNED his last opponent from Noblesville. He's "In-The-Army-Now", and on his way to a tour in Korea ... South Korea I hope!! Everyone pray for his safe return, and excellent future with the beautiful woman (i.e., girlfriend), who graced our presence! Dan Smith (1969 HWT)
