Panther Wrestlers Face Off Against Warriors

December 2, 2012
Indianapolis North Central High School

North Central Wrestling - Warren Central Dual - November 29, 2012

13th Ranked Warren Central vs. North Central:

Preston Daniels (SR 195 lbs.) got NC off to a great start with a quick PIN!

Trevon Williams (SR 220 lbs.) followed with another impressive PIN!

Trevon is undefeated at 7 - 0 and qualified for Semi-State last year for this year's 4th ranked Merrillville IN Pirates.

Warren Central's 6th ranked wrestler wasn't at the match, but Trevon will have shots at him in the upcoming Marion County Tournament December 15th and MIC Conference Championship January 19th.  Two events no one should miss!!

But then four forfeits (24 points), and four close losses (12 points), resulted in Warren Central's 55 - 12 victory.

OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCES:

Seth Issacs (JR 182 lbs.)
Michel Vaulx (JR 138 lbs.)
Kylan Seats (SO 120 lbs.)
Marcos Angulo (JR 152 lbs.)
Mitchell Kessler (SO 285 lbs.)
Eli Glover (FR 106 lbs.)

They never quit and fought hard the whole six minutes.  Wrestle hard for six minutes and victories will often be the result!

ALUMNI AT THE MATCH:

Larry Orzeske (2008 152/160 lbs.)

Larry and brother Charlie (NC SR), have exhibited great courage and patience by starting the North Central Youth Wrestling Club for 1st to 5th graders.

They practice Tuesdays and Thursdays, so we had the pleasure of meeting many of the young wrestlers during the Warren Central match.  Next time I'll bring some duct-tape.

The club is just what NC needs to find good wrestlers and develop their talents prior to them entering Middle School and then moving on to NC Varsity Wrestling.

Larry, Charlie and all the young wrestlers deserve all the support we can give them!

Dan Smith (1969 HWT)
