NC Men's Cross Country Update

 The NC Panther Men's Soccer Team has a pretty good start for the 2012 season!  They finished 2^nd to the number one team in the state at the Carmel Classic Saturday. 

The format for the distance medley meet has all of your varsity runners begin the race together.  A third of each team runs 3K, another third runs 4K and the remaining third runs 5K.   Team members know which distance they are going,  but, the other teams do not know who from the other teams are running which leg of the race.   

Special congrats goes to Junior James Huffman who won the 5K portion with a time of 16:03.   When James got to the 3K mark, all of the runners around him stopped.  That left him by himself and he increased his lead over the next 2K to win by 27 seconds.  Sophomore Solomon Rice finished 4^th to lead our 4K group and Junior Michael Schmahl finished 6^th to lead our 3K group.  Frosh Patrick May lead the freshman 4K group finishing 8^th with an excellent time of 15:08.
