Amy Worthington shot a three-over-par 39 in leading Logansport to a 202-213 win over Pioneer in a girls golf match Monday at Dykeman Park G.C.
Kait Wickersham (49), Alex Corcoran (55) and Alli Biggs (59) rounded out the Berries’ team score.
“Corcoran played really well,” Logansport coach Bob Bannon said. “Wickersham played a decent round. Two [Katy Baar] and four [Biggs] really struggled. I think they were coming off on a high from Saturday, and not really on it on Monday. We could have done better on our home course, but Monday night matches are difficult because you haven’t been practicing.”
Mati DeWitt led Pioneer with a 46, followed by Randi Miller (51), Brit Snow (57) and Jami Musselman (59).
“We were only two strokes off of our season low of 211,” Pioneer coach Dale Samuels said. “I like how Mati played against Amy. She did all right with her. Randi had a personal best for the season with her 51. She had a real nice round for us, and probably 10 strokes better then normal.”
