Home » Girls' Cross Country NewsCaston InviteSeptember 4, 2012 North Central ConferenceLogansport placed fifth out of 12 teams. The Berries were led by Maddi Zartman with a 36th place finish in 23:25. She was followed by Emily Pomasl (37th, 23:26), Megan Martin (40th, 23:28), Ashlyn Lythgoe (42nd, 23:31) and Alanna Echols (46th, 23:39). “I think we are capable of doing better than we did [Saturday],” Logan coach Brian Morrill said. “I liked the pack we had but we will need to move up as a group to be competitive at the big races. [Saturday] I thought we could have competed better — I thought we were running a hard workout pace instead of a race pace. Hopefully we will be able to push through that barrier. We know where we are now and we have some work to do.”
