South Bend Adams won with 71 points, followed by a top five of Lakeland (92), Logan (98), Triton (126) and Carroll (147). The Berries were led by Kyle Jordan (11th, 17:52) and Jake Graf (12th, 17:54), followed by Alex Calisto (16th, 18:10), Jesus Oliver (27th, 18:44) and Audie Kaufman (32nd, 18:55). “I thought we ran about what I expected. We had a hard week of practice and I knew they were running on tired legs,” Logan coach Chuck LaDow said. “If we would have had Travis [Palmer] or Tate [Gellinger] or Dom [Patacsil], we would have won with any of the three of them.” Palmer and Gellinger are out with injuries, while Patacsil has moved to West Lafayette where he ran a 16:38 on Saturday according to LaDow. The Logan coach said Palmer, who survived a recent scary car accident, could be cleared to start running soon.
