LOGANSPORT — It may not have been the most well-played game, but it sure was hard fought and entertaining.
And in the end, Huntington North played a little bit cleaner football, and the Vikings’ big-play strikes overcame Logansport’s grind-it-out attack in the Vikes’ 26-20 win in overtime at Berry Stadium.
It was Huntington’s sixth straight win over Logan and the first win of the Trent Fine era.
Penalties and turnovers killed the Berries (1-2, 0-1 North Central Conference) during regulation and in overtime. Logan finished with 17 penalties, and Huntington North (1-2, 1-0) was right behind with 10 as the yellow flags were flying early and often for both teams.
Bo Bullard had 135 yards rushing on 34 carries and two touchdowns for Logan. Isaac Eastburn added 148 yards rushing on 16 carries and a score.
