Logan golfers improving

August 24, 2012
North Central Conference

Logansport’s girls golf coach Bob Bannon sees his squad making strides, just not enough to make the big dent in the scorecards that he’s hoping for.

Logan shot a 214 during a three-way meet Thursday at Dykeman Park Golf Course. Northwestern won with a 177, followed by runner-up Twin Lakes (194).

Kait Wickersham paced the Berries (4-3) with a 47. She was followed by Bree Bair (52), Chelsea Henn (57), Alli Biggs (58), Megan Farris (58) and Lauren Pruitt (63).

“We got beat by two better teams,” Bannon said. “Bree played better, and I saw a few good signs from the others, but not enough to make a difference in our team score.”

Northwestern’s Krista McClure was the medalist with a 6-over 42.

The Berries host No. 10-ranked Lafayette Jeff next Thursday
