Logan drops game to West Lafayette

August 23, 2012
North Central Conference

The Berries dropped to 0-2 on the season with the loss at West Lafayette Tuesday.

Pedro Hernandez scored on an assist by Heath Vincent and Aung Ko scored on an assist by Kevin Gonzalez for Logan’s two goals of the contest.

The game was tied 1-1 at halftime.

“We played a beautiful first half. It was much improved from last week’s game at Frankfort,” Logan coach Mike Turner said. “Pedro Hernandez opened up our scoring to tie the game. In the second half we gave up a second goal pretty quick, but we responded well and Aung Ko tied the game.

“We gave up three goals in a 10-minute span to put the game out of reach. We had a defensive injury on the third goal. We lost some focus and communication and gave up the other two goals. But it was a much improved effort.”

Logan hosts Harrison today for its home opener.
