Home » Girls' Volleyball NewsBerries score sweepAugust 17, 2012 North Central ConferenceLogansport’s volleyball team recorded a three-game win Thursday night at Northwestern, 25-21, 25-20, 25-11. Berry coach Jon Vernon thought the scores in the first two games were a little too close for comfort, but he was pleased his squad was able to come away with its second straight win to start the season. “It was a typical first-day-of-school match,” he said. “We weren’t as sharp as we were against McCutcheon on Tuesday, but we played well in spurts enough to be able to pull away from them when we needed to.” Kiley Victor had 13 kills, four digs and an ace for the Berries (2-0). Syd Bullard floored 10 kills. Hannah Jones and Bailey Kelley each dished six assists, and Nakeya Penny and Alaina Page contributed four kills apiece. Page added three blocks. Lindsey Cheney had six digs and Katie Easter added three. Erin Samuels had two aces. Logan travels to North Miami on Tuesday.
