Trojans lose to Mt Vernon

"For the rest of the game we were digging our way back," New Castle coach Roger Miller said. "We got out-rebounded 39-18 and that pretty much told the story."

Emily Smith led New Castle with 11 points. Allyson Garrett was next high with five. Ciara Leath had seven rebounds and three assists.

The Trojan girls have their last home game Saturday against Huntington. The varsity game begins at approximately 1:30 p.m. It will be senior recognition day, with Smith, Garrett and Allison Renner all being honored.
