Nimitz loses first district game against the Panthers.

Colleyville Heritage racked up 456 yards offense en route to a 40-13 district 6-5A victory at Mustang Panther Stadium. Jeff Calvert threw for 217 yards and a score and ran for another. Heritage opened a 33-0 halftime lead and coasted from there.


Martel Garner scored on a one yard run and added a 79 yard kick return, while teammate Austin Keaveny added a 30 yard run. The other Heritage score came on a 43 yard pass from Josh Meador to Landon Sherman.


Nimitz two scores both came in the fourth quarter, the first a 95 yard blocked field goal try return by J.J. Gaines, who would later catch a 38 yard pass from Adam Charles.


Nimitz struggled offensively finishing with just 173 yards after being limited to just 57 yards and two first downs in the first half.
