Girls softball season comes to an end

In the second round of the district tournament the Lady Tigers faced the North Mercer Lady Cardinals. Having beat the Cardinals previously in a regular season game at Newtown, the Lady Tigers knew they could pull off another district win. The game began and the Lady Tigers knew that they had a worthy opponent. The Tigers played well throughout the entire game, but  could not seem to grab the reins and score some runs. After the tough loss to the Cardinals, Coach Coe said " I liked the way the Ladies played hard throughout the game. The Cardinals 1 through 9 batters hit well, and just kept driving in the runs." Great season Lady Tigers!!! Mercedes Foster and Tara Collings were the seniors on the team and have had amazing accomplishments throughout both of their 4 year careers. Congratulations on an outstanding softball career Tara and Mercedes!
