Newton Basketball welcomes Clements MS team as guests

Newton basketball welcomed the future Rams of Clements MS to NHS to watch a game on Tuesday, Dec. 4.  Coach Bobby Sims of Clements and the Newton staff and players from Newton met the boys' and girls' players of the Wolverines.  The Newton Rams want to wish Clements and all the Newton County middle school basketball players a great season.  Said head Rams coach Rick Rasmussen, "It was great for our players to get to meet and mentor to these young people. We hope that these middle school student-athletes can be inspired by meeting our players and getting to know them. We know how hard our middle school players work, and we are glad they were interested in establishing a relationship with us. This is a win-win for both programs, and we appreciate Coach Sims taking the time to bring his players here to see us play. Those young people are blessed to have a coach who is looking out for his players' futures."
