iHigh Announces Partnership With the Appalachian Athletic Conference

LEXINGTON, KY -- iHigh.com® and the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) today announced a partnership between the two organizations in an effort to build more interest and recognition for the conference, its member schools and its student-athletes.  This new partnership will be called the AAC Broadcast Network.

Through the use of iHigh's feature-rich platform the AAC and its 11 member schools will have the ability to broadcast their events to fans all over the world - including broadcasting to mobile devices.

The AAC Broadcast Network website will include live and archived broadcasts, videos, photos and articles from member AAC institutions.

The AAC is an NAIA conference with eleven members in six Southeastern States: Bryan College (Tenn.), Columbia College (S.C.), Milligan College (Tenn.), Montreat College (N.C.), Point University (G.), Reinhardt University (Ga.), SCAD Atlanta (Ga.), St. Andrews University (N.C.), Tennessee Wesleyan College, Union College (Ky.), and Virginia Intermont College.  Truett-McConnell College (Ga.) will join the Conference in 2013-14.

About The Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC):
The Appalachian Athletic Conference evolved from the Volunteer State Athletic Conference (VSAC), an NAIA conference organized in the 1940s and dissolved in the early 1980s when institutions in the eastern part of the state seceded to form the Tennessee Valley Athletic Conference (TVAC). The Conference became the Tennessee-Virginia Athletic Conference (TVAC) when Bluefield College joined in the early 1990s and later the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) with the addition of Montreat College, Alice Lloyd College, and Union College in 2001. During the past decade, the conference has undergone a variety of changes in membership. Six institutions have left the AAC since 2005; however, six have joined the league since 2009. The additions of Reinhardt University (in 2009), Columbia College (in 2011), Point University (in 2011), SCAD-Atlanta (in 2012), St. Andrews University (in 2012) and Truett-McConnell College (in 2013) will boost the league's membership to a robust for the 2013-14 season.
