GBB: Dragons fall to Greenwood

New Palestine High School In a lot of ways, it has been a hard luck season for Greenwood. The club has suffered several disheartening losses. However, Jan. 17 it came together as the squad thumped new Palestine 61-44 on the Dragons’ home floor. Greenwood dominated right from the beginning, racing to a 19-6 lead after one quarter of play. They were never seriously challenged from that point. The victory improved the Lady Woodmen to 4-10 on the year. The team was led in scoring by Thompson’s 20 points.
For new Palestine, it was a disappointing performance. The Dragons fell to 8-7 for the season. Danielle Owens was the only New Palestine player to reach double digits. She netted 17 points in the losing cause.
