BA: Dragons earn spot in final

New Palestine beat Guerin Catholic 11-1 Saturday to earn a spot in Monday's baseball sectional championship game at Chatard.
The Dragons will meet Brebeuf in the sectional title game. The game will begin at 5 p.m. at Chatard, with a live broadcast available at HancockCountySports.com.
NP has outscored its two tourney foes 21-1, and ended both games in five innings.
Connor Swain threw a three-hitter on Saturday against Guerin, facing only two batters more than the minimum. He walked none and struck out three.
Swain was also big at the plate, going 4-4 with a run and three RBI.
At the plate, the Dragons did their damage early, scoring five runs in the first and adding two more in the second. NP added two more runs in each the fourth and fifth to end the game via the mercy rule.
The Dragons had nine hits in the game. In addition to Swain's four, Nick Butcher was 2-3 with three runs scored. Keegan Watson was 1-2 with a double, a run and three RBI. Logan Gilvin had a hit and an RBI. Steven Clark had a hit and scored twice. Jason Hall-Manley drove in a run.
The Dragons are now 20-9 on the season heading into the sectional final.
