BA: Dragons cap three-win week

New Palestine capped a three-win week by beating Martinsville 13-6 on Friday.
The Dragons went 3-1 for the week, and came a hit away from being perfect.
New Palestine jumped on the Artesians early, with three runs in the first inning and two in the second to take a 5-0 lead. The Dragons scored at least once in six of their seven at-bats, and had three-run innings in the first, fourth and fifth. NP led 5-2 after two, 8-6 after four, then responded with a three-run fifth and single runs in the sixth and seventh.
Cameron Clark had a big day t the plate, going 4-5 and hitting his second homer of the season. He also doubled, scored twice and drove in four runs. Jason Hall-Manley went 3-5 with a triple and three RBI, helping pace an 18-hit attack. Connor Swain was 3-4 with two runs, a double and an RBI, and Nick Butcher also had three hits, going 3-5 with an RBI and scoring three times.
Steven Clark and Justin Anderson had two hits each. Anderson scored twice, while Clark scored and drove in a run. Cody Chandler also had a hit for the Dragons, and Evan Hickman drove in a run.
Hogan Fulkerson improved to 4-0 on the season by scattering seven hits and three earned runs over five innings. Cameron Clark pitched the final two scoreless innings to end the game.
The Dragons are now 13-7 on the season. They next play Monday at Fishers. The next home game is Thursday against Franklin Central.
