GYM: Dragons win close match with Tigers

New Palestine won a close gymnastics match with Hagerstown, and also beat Muncie South in a three-way meet to improve to 6-1 on the year Wednesday at New Palestine Elementary. 

The Dragons tallied 97.25 points, nosing out Hagerstown (96.7). Muncie South was third with 42.4.

Kaytlin Fee won three events, the vault (9.0), uneven bars (8.45) and balance beam (9.275). She was also third on floor exercise, earning her a first-place all-around score (35.5).

Kylie Zehner had a solid day, finishing fourth in the all-around. She was second on vault, second on flooer exercise and sixth on bars. Annabelle Dockins was fifth in the all-around, finishing third on vault, fourth on beam and fifth on floor exercise. Rylee Elsea was the Dragons' other top-six finisher, placing fourth on floor and sixth on beam.

The Dragons next compete Saturday at the Bloomington North Invitational.
