ISSMA Solo & Ensemble Instrumental Competition
January 20, 2014By Lynnette Bell of New Palestine High School
We are currently getting ready and prepared to put together an AMAZING day for students and their families as they come to NPHS on Saturday 2/1 (the Saturday after next!) for ISSMA Solo & Ensemble Instrumental Competition.
When you click on THIS LINK, you will be transported to a Google Doc that will have TWO PAGES: Please sign up for FOOD SIGNUPS & VOLUNTEER SHIFT SIGNUPS.
We are expecting 100% support from all of our families -- as we are making up for a $12K shortfall with no Winter Contests to volunteer for.
You will be notified where to drop off the food (Saturday morning is preferable, though.) If you have any questions about the food donations, please contact LISA DAVIS.
LYNNETTE BELL will be happy to answer any of your volunteer shift questions. There is only ONE position for which an all-day commitment is required. All of the others are 4.25 hour shifts. (Of course, you are more than welcomed to stay the entire day -- many do!)
(ALL volunteers will receive a volunteer packet of information.) When you work 1 shift, you are entitled to a 1/2 price concession meal. When you work all day, you are entitle to a FREE concession meal.
Again, thank you in advance. Volunteering for this event will fulfill your FairShare requirement for the 2013-2014 season. If you have any general or overall questions, please email me, and I would be glad to help answer your questions.
Take care, and thank you for your dedication,
PS. We have a BIG Concessions Event THAT evening that we will also need volunteers for (about 10 more!)
PPS. Students are being used as Judge Assistants throughout the day of Solo & Ensemble. This is something that Mr. Humphries is coordinating with them.
STUDENT PARTICIPATION DOES NOT QUALIFY FOR FAIR SHARE. WE NEED ADULT VOLUNTEERS TO FILL ADULT VOLUNTEER SHIFTS .. AND STUDENTS TO FILL STUDENT SHIFTS.
