WR: Dragons win New Palestine Invitational

The Dragons won the 7-team New Palestine Invitational on Saturday, scoring 207.5 points to beat Martinsville by 15.
East Central (155) was third, Columbia City (146.5) fourth, Roncalli (145) fifth, Rushville (131) sixth and Beech Grove (84) seventh.
New Palestine had six champions, starting with Alec White at 106. At 113, Eugene Starks had three falls in the preliminary rounds and followed with a 22-second quick pin and a technical fall in the final. At 120, Chad Red had falls in all four matches, including two in 24 seconds. Brian Wagner also had four falls in four matches to win at 195. Other Dragon winners were Rylan McCarty at 126 and Jared Timberman at 132.
Nick Brickens was runner-up at 160. Noah Grable was also runner-up at 220.
Placing fourth were Jaylyn Wallace (138) and Andrew Yazel (285). David Johnson was fifth at 145. Sam Weber placed sixth at 170, as did Cameron Shanahan at 182.
