Tuesday NPHS roundup: Gymnasts remain perfect

Dragons beat Rushville: The New Palestine gymnastics team beat Rushville 104.85-92.95 on Monday night in a dual meet at New Palestine Elementary.
The Dragons remained perfect at 8-0 on the season headed into Wednesday's tri-meet at Hagerstown against Muncie South.
NPHS has also added a meet on Feb. 12, which will be against Richmond and Franklin Central. The Dragons will host a leukemia-themed night, helping raise money to help former NPHS gymnast Liza Angelicchio pay her medical bills.
Kenzi Hoffman was the all-around winner, winning three of the four events. She won the vault (9.25), uneven bars (8.725) and balance beam (9.025) and was second on floor exercise. Her all-around total was 36.15.
Kaytlin Fee also had a solid night, winning the floor exercise (9.175) and finishing second on vault, bars and beam.
Other top-six finishers for NP were Maddie Wallace, who was third on vault. Annabelle Dockins and Kylie Zehner tied for fifth on vault. Shelly Huesman was fourth on bars, Dockins fifth and Ciarra Hough sixth. On beam, Zehner was fourth and Dockins sixth. On floor, Dockins was fourth and Zehner sixth.
Huesman, Dockins and Zehner were fourth, fifth and sixth in the all-around.
