By Megan Mattingly of Nelson County High SchoolCongratulations to the Nelson County High School Band of Pride as they once again competed in the KMEA State Championships on Saturday October 29. The Band of Pride is the smallest 5A band in the state of Kentucky and finished 16th overall, with rankings of 14th in Music Effect and 15th in Visual Performance. This is the bands second consecutive appearance in the state championships since their hiatus in 2007-2008.
