Nelson County vs. Oldham County

The Cards defeated 10th in the state Oldham County last night with a score of 2-1. The Cards came out and took over quick, with Junior Chris Muncy scoring both of the goals in the first half, assist coming from Cole Bray and Colby Veech. Potentially the play of the game came when goal keeper Ryan Watkins made a diving stop on a pk in the first half. The Colonels first goal came with only 6 minutes left in the game. For the next 6 minutes the Cards were able to hold the Colonels off and preserve the win. The Cardinals Extend their winning streak to 3 games with the upset, when asked how his team is starting to come along, Senior Craig Davis said " I feel like were really starting to play as one unit. Last night gave us a big win over a top ten team. Its the kind of win that gives us confidence but no one is feeling big-headed." The Cardinals will try to keep their streak going tomorrow against Bardstown.
