Here’s a look at results from Northeast Corner Conference schools from Week 1 (Nov. 19-24) of the 2012-13 Indiana boys basketball season …

Hot-shooting West Noble pounds visiting Bethany Christian, 65-28
Host West Noble (2-0) shot 76 percent (19 of 25) from inside the 3-point arc on the night Nov. 24 as the Chargers outscored Bethany Christian (0-2) 31-7 in the second half to coast to a 65-28 victory.

Senior Nick Noe led West Noble with 17 points, seven rebounds, and seven steals while classmate Nick Thomas added seven points, five assists and two steals.

DeKalb rallies for 72-34 win at Central Noble
DeKalb (1-1) pulled away from a 9-7 deficit after one quarter Nov. 24 by outscoring host Central Noble 65-25 the rest of the way in a 72-34 victory.

The host Cougars (0-2), who could not overcome 33 percent shooting (11 of 33), were led by senior Alex Vice (13 points, four rebounds, three assists) and freshman E.J. Andrews (10 points).

Fremont thumps Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian 74-49
Host Fremont (1-1) won every quarter Nov. 24 as the Eagles posted a 74-49 victory over Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian (0-1).

Senior Tyler Jenkins poured in 27 points to go along with eight rebounds and five steals to lead Fremont. Classmate Jake Bryant added 13 points for the Eagles, who shot 48 percent (22 of 46) from the field, including a torrid 6-of-14 marksmanship from behind the 3-point line.

Heller’s double-double (25 and 12) lifts Prairie Heights past Garrett, 69-60
Free throws were the difference Nov. 24 as host Prairie Heights converted 25 of 29 (86 percent) compared with just 24 of 37 (65 percent) for Garrett in a 69-60 victory.

Sophomore Jacob Heller led the victorious Panthers (1-0) with a double-double of 25 points and 12 rebounds, while junior Dylan Stayner added 11 points as Prairie Heights overcame 23 turnovers.

Garrett (1-1) was paced by sophomore Justin McCoy (16 points) and senior Vince Marshall (14).

3A #5 Norwell’s 36-5 first quarter huge in 88-52 win over visiting Fremont
Class 3A fifth-ranked host Norwell roared out to a 36-5 advantage over Fremont after one quarter Nov. 21 and coasted to an 88-52 win in the season-opening contest for both schools.

Fremont senior Tyler Jenkins led all scorers with 31 points.

Second half key in 2A #15 Adams Central’s 51-34 win over Churubusco
Class 2A No. 15 host Adams Central pulled away from a 19-17 halftime lead by outscoring Churubusco 32-17 in the decisive second half Nov. 21 en route to a 51-34 victory in the season-opening game for both schools.

Jo Barkley led Churubusco with eight points.

Huge 1H lifts 1A #21 Lakewood Park Christian to 73-17 win at Hamilton
Class A No. 21 Lakewood Park Christian raced out to a 47-11 halftime lead Nov. 20 as the Panthers pounced on host Hamilton, 73-17, in the season-opening game for both schools.
 
The visitors benefited from 23-of-42 shooting (55 percent) inside the 3-point line and made 25 steals in rolling to the victory.

Senior Blake Mann led Lakewood Park Christian with 21 points and six rebounds, while classmate Zac Crosby added 15 points, five rebounds, and five steals.

1A #5 FW Canterbury coasts past cold-shooting host Central Noble, 56-35
Host Central Noble converted just 1 of 12 (8 percent) 3-point attempts Nov. 20 as Class A fifth-ranked Fort Wayne Canterbury posted a 56-35 win in the season-opening contest for both schools.

Senior Alex Vice led Central Noble with 13 points six rebounds, and four steals, while junior Connor McCoy added nine points and six boards.

Late Garrett run lifts Railroaders over visiting Eastside, 51-40
Host Garrett outscored Eastside 23-13 in the decisive fourth quarter Nov. 21 as the Railroaders pulled away for a 51-40 win in the season-opening contest for both schools.

Points in the paint were the key as Garrett hit on 56 percent (14 of 25) of its field goal attempts inside the 3-point line compared with 37 percent (13 of 35) for the Blazers.

Senior Jayden Lilly led Eastside with 15 points, eight rebounds, and four blocks, while sophomore P.J. Dean added 10 points.

Garrett was paced by senior Vince Marshall (10 points, five steals, four assists) and classmate Joe Martin (nine points, eight rebounds).
