Although she is new to North Dallas High School, this is her 19th year of coaching basketball. Before coming to North Dallas, she coached basketball at Lovejoy High school in Lucas. In 2010-11, her team reached the UIL Class 3A state championship, but came up short losing to Abilene Wylie in the championship game. The team was six points short of making it to the state tournament during the 2009-10 season, losing to Frisco Wakeland in the regional championship game. She was also the head coach at Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC), and several different high schools in Wisconsin. Prior to coaching basketball, Connor was a Division I basketball player at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, where she was a letter winner all four years. As a high school player, Connor led the city (Milwaukee, Wis.) in scoring. Connor has two children: Michael, 18, graduated from McKinney North High School last year, and daughter Mikaehla, 16, plays basketball for McKinney North High School. In her spare time, she likes to hang out with her family, play basketball and cook. “I am looking forward to the possibilities that this season is going to bring to North Dallas High School,” Connor said, “and I am looking forward to the support that we will receive from our North Dallas community.”
