Men's Basketball Tops Montgomery, 90-77

BLUE BELL, Pa. - Northampton Athlete of the Week Dontae Davis scored 29 points and Jaylonn Tullis recorded a double-double with 28 points and 10 rebounds as the Spartans downed Montgomery County Community College, 90-77, on Tuesday evening at Bach Arena.
"The key tonight was our ability to handle their pressure," stated Head Coach Kevin Foley, "Montgomery really comes at you in waves on the defensive end, but our guys did a good job taking care of the ball (only 7 turnovers) which allowed us to get some easy baskets in transition."
Andrew Miller chipped in with 13 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists and Tyler Krchnavi added 6 points and 7 rebounds for the Spartans.
Northampton, which won its third straight, improves to 14-7 overall and a league-leading 10-1 in the Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference. Northampton sweeps the season series with Montgomery, after winning their matchup on November 27th, 85-78.
The loss drops Montgomery to 14-9 overall and 8-3 in conference play.
NCC returns to action on Saturday when they travel to Harrisburg to face the Hawks at 3pm as part of a men's and women's doubleheader.
