Carlos Morris is one of the top JUCO players and many college programs have taken notice, Morris who attends one of the more prolific junior colleges in Chipola (FL).
Some of the programs interested in Carlos is Seton Hall, Arkansas, Minnesota, UAB, and Georgia. Carlos visited Seton Hall September 12th-14th, and visited Minnesota two weeks ago and says “Minnesota was big time, they showed a lot of love.”
Morris discussed Minnesota’s new HC Richard Pitino in saying “He is a great guy, and has a lot of experience, he definitely knows what he is doing. I love the way he handles things and just his personality.”
The 6’5 wing also says he will visit UAB and Arkansas next month but no dates have been finalized.
Seton Hall recently added a huge addition to their 2014 class in Isaiah Whitehead, Nations Elite’s #13 player in the class. Morris spoke about that in saying “That kinda made me want to look elsewhere, they actually just took two players at my position. I didn’t like the idea of that but they are trying to win.”
Another school on Morris list is the Georgia Bulldogs, of which we spoke about the Bulldogs HC Mark Fox passion as he painted his chest for the Bulldogs football teams win over LSU. Morris said “That’s definitely a coach with some passion for his school, so I can only think how he is about the basketball program.”
The Bulldogs are not the only SEC program interested in Carlos as he talked about the commitment it would take to play under Mike Anderson in his fast paced system. Morris said “It’s gonna be hard work and dedication, but right now I ain’t got a choice I’m going to have to work and grind wherever I go.”
Carlos who hails from Jacksonville (FL) added “I come from a place where many don’t make it, so I got some motivation.”
