Turner setting herself apart on the hardwood

June 5, 2013
By Kenneth True of Nations Elite

The Kentucky Premier AAU team has put a number of players in the collegiate ranks and has another young star headed that way in 6’2 forward prospect Morgan Turner. Turner plays her HS ball at Meade Co. (KY) HS and is already getting interest from some BCS conference schools.

Turner tells Nations Elite “I’ve been offered by Virginia Tech, and have interest from Lipscomb, Wake Forest, Indiana, Marquette, Syracuse, Louisville, and Dayton.” The talented forward says “I really like Indiana and Virginia Tech, both have a beautiful campus and great business programs. Their coaching staffs really appealed to me as well.”

So far the Meade Co. star has visited Dayton, Louisville, Indiana, and Virginia Tech of which she says “They all went really great, it’s just surreal because I never thought any of these schools could be interested in me.” As for what she did on those campus visits Turner responded “I toured the basketball facilities and stadiums, on Virginia Tech and Indiana’s visit they showed me all of the campus while driving around on a golf cart which I thought was neat.”

As for upcoming visits Morgan will attend Lipscomb Elite Camp and check out their campus which will occur towards the end of June. Lipscomb also finds themselves in the list of schools Morgan says is recruiting her the hardest alongside Indiana and Marquette.

Turner says if she could choose who would join her in college she’d take a couple of her Kentucky Premier team mates along for the ride in Nora Kiesler, Maci Morris, and Morgan Rich.
