Issac Copeland checks in at #22 in the Nations Elite Elite 50, Copeland has already given his verbal commitment to Georgetown. The 6’8 195 lbs. forward originally from Raleigh (NC) says he’ll play next season at Brewster Academy.
The 6’8 195 lbs. forward says “I had a great relationship with the coaching staff at Georgetown, plus they have great academics which was very important to me. Plus I think I can do a lot in their system.”
Prior to his commitment to Georgetown Copeland had interest from N.C. State, Kansas State, Memphis, Virginia, and “some other ACC schools.”
As for who he helps joins him in Washington D.C. he says “We just got Tre Campbell to commit so we need a big, I’m trying to get Elbert Robinson from Texas to come.” Robinson himself is a past Nations Elite interviewee.
Elbert and Issac had a chance to bond on a visit of which Copeland says “He was there (Georgetown) when I visited, so I got his number so I try to talk to him every once in a while to let him know that we want him.”
Copeland is playing this summer with Garner Road but says he’ll cross paths with Robinson “I’ll see him at some camps this summer so I’ll make sure I talk to him.”
