It’s crazy, when you set back and think about the talent that comes out of Florida annually on the recruiting trail. Like most states the Sunshine state does not have down years. With the 2013 cycle coming to a close coaching staffs will turn the majority of their focus toward the 2014 class. One young man from Florida who will get plenty of eyes on him is 6’3 207 lbs. TE prospect Davion Riley from Winter Haven (FL)’s Lake Wales HS. The talented junior has already heard from Florida State, Miami (FL), Oregon, Mississippi State, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Missouri, Duke, Florida International, Florida Atlantic, UCLA, N.C. State, East Carolina, West Virginia, Western Kentucky, Louisville, Indiana, and Washington. Riley says “FSU, Miami (FL), Oregon, FIU, Tennessee, and FAU have offered.” Davion also says “I would say Florida State, Tennessee, and Oregon stand out because they are passing teams, but also have strong programs with great coaching staffs and history.” When it comes to the coaching staffs Riley says “The best coaching staff so far I would say is FSU, because they treat you like you are already part of the family.” It seems like the Seminoles get a lot of mentions with Riley, well the TE prospect has visited Tallahassee unofficially twice already and says “We went on a tour of the stadium and facilities, and what they do pregame.” His high praise for Tallahassee and the Seminole faithful didn’t stop there as he would add “The atmosphere of the crowd and school is top notch, if the fans find out you’re a recruit they treat you like you’re a regular player.” As for players Riley says he’d consider playing with in college he names Railond Garrett who plays QB at Lake Wales.
