Sports Xpress Recruiting Xclusive: Delvin Purifoy

Florida State is off to a fast start with the 2014 recruiting class, one member of that class is Delvin Purifoy a 6’2 235 lbs. LB. Purifoy chose the Seminoles despite interest from Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, Wisconsin, South Florida, Miami (FL), and Missouri.

“Alabama, Florida, USC, and Clemson have been writing me” Purifoy says since his commitment to Florida State. As far as players he hopes to see follow him to FSU, Purifoy named Tylan and Jawan Purifoy who are family members of his and says “I would like to see them get offered and play with me.”

Playing at Pensacola Catholic the LB prospect says he’s noticed all the staff turnover at Florida State and says “I like the changes that are being made, and the new coaches that are being hired.” Delvin went in depth about his position coach when he arrives at FSU in Charles Kelly in stating “He seems like a great coach, and I would like to see how things go with him.”
