Sports Xpress Hoops Tour: Kentucky Bank Shootout

Henry Clay is one of the top 5 most talented teams in the state, with players like Jordan Green, Trey Grundy, and Christian Cunningham it’s easy to see why many people think the Blue Devils will make the short trip to Rupp Arena and represent the 11^th Region in the Sweet 16. Their performance tonight did nothing to hurt that perception as they steam rolled West Jessamine 94-51.

The Blue Devils are going to give teams fits with their length and athleticism. The Blue Devils who are coached by Daniel Brown the former coach of the host school Bourbon County feature a balanced scoring attack as 6 players scored 10+. Leading the way was Jordan Green with 13, Christian Cunningham and Campbell Setzer each chipped in 12.

West Jessamine had one player on the floor of the caliber of Henry Clay in Chase Fain, but Fain’s time on the court was short lived as he fouled out in the 3^rd quarter. He did enough damage to leave a positive impression. Fain scored 21 points, and pulled down 7 rebounds.

The Blue Devils improved to (4-1) with the win, and West Jessamine fell to (4-2).

Kenneth True on Chase Fain: Fain is definitely worth the risk for a D-2,D-3,NAIA type program.
