Kevin Sumlin definitely has things headed in the right direction down in College Station (TX) at Texas A&M. Sumlin and the Aggies finished their first full season in the SEC (10-2, 6-2). Also, throw in the fact that Johnny Manziel is the favorite to win the Heisman Trophy and you can see why College Station is abuzz.
The Aggies currently have the #11 class in the nation so Sumlin has even more talent headed to College Station. One of those commitments is MLB Brett Wade from Kennedale (TX). Kennedale finished their regular season at (9-3).
“Coach Sumlin is what makes the Aggies what they are, and he is the reason me and all the recruits are so anxious to be in College Station” Brett said of his future head coach.
On what led him to commit to Texas A&M Wade says “The atmosphere, and the new coaching staff.” Brett also discussed the Aggies new conference the SEC by stating “It was a pretty big deal, that’s the conference I wanted to be in.”
The talented MLB prospect who makes his way to Texas A&M’s campus in January talked about Johnny Manziel in saying “Him having this type of season, created bigger opportunities for us as a whole. We will be National Champions very soon.”
Right now Brett says he is just resting, but says “As far as working out, I’ll get back in that routine next week.” Two guys Wade has gotten close to on the Aggies 2013 commitment list is Alex Sezer and Jay Arnold.
