Charis Fitzgerald is one of the better athletes you’re going to find when it comes to PG’s. Having already heard from “VCU, Middle Tennessee State, North Florida, Bucknell, East Carolina, and Appalachian State” Charis is hoping to add to that list throughout his senior season.

The talented West Gadsden (FL) star says he’s improving his game by, “I went to the point guard college where I learned a lot of small things that go a long way.” Some of the things Fitzgerald learned he says were “The dynamic jump stop and the ball snap.” “I consistently get up about 1,000 made shots a day” Fitzgerald tells the SX staff.

As for what areas of his game he says he’s trying to fine tune the rising senior said “I’m fine tuning everything, my explosion, hang time, ball handling, body control, my jumper, my footwork, and leadership.”

As for leadership Fitzgerald says “I’m just trying to lead more and set a example which will set the bar high.”

West Gadsden opened their season Friday night against Rickards. A game in which they won 63-55, Charis had 20 points, 5 assist, 4 blocks, 6 rebounds, and 4 steals.

Fitzgerald tells SX “I think we’re #3 in 1A in Florida, we made the finals last year and we only lost 3 players. In West Gadsden’s region you’ll find Florida commit Chris Walker and Holmes Co. so it isn’t a easy road for West Gadsden.

If you wish to catch Charis and West Gadsden over Christmas break you can find them at the Kingdom of the Suns Tournament.
