By Kenneth True of Nations Elite

Joe Jones is a young man who saw his stock really go up with a impressive senior season, and things shouldn’t stop there for the 6’4 230 lbs. DE prospect.  Joe wrapped up his senior season with 40 solo tackles, 18 assists, 10 sacks and 1 forced fumble.

As for where the talented senior DE says he is in the recruiting process he says “I’m in the process of setting up official visits for Buffalo and Penn State right now.” The Chaminade Madonna (FL) HS star also says “I will visit North Alabama unofficially.”

One program that remains up in the air for Jones is Kentucky of which he says “I was hearing from Kentucky but with the head coach being fired I don’t know what’s going to happen.”

Jones spoke on the Wildcats decision to cut ties with Joker Phillips as he says “Anytime a coach gets fired you feel bad for them, but just like recruiting it’s a business. I hope he finds a way back on the sidelines really quickly I wish him nothing but the best.”

On the other side for the Wildcats, Jones has heard the rumors of Bobby Petrino and he says “If Bobby Petrino is the guy, I hope he leads UK back on the right track. I know his offenses are explosive as heck.”

Two programs are awaiting Jones film before they make any decisions, those two programs are Florida State and Florida Atlantic.

Joe and his Chaminade Madonna team mates open up post season play this Friday night against American Heritage of which Joe says “American Heritage has 5-star RB Greg Bryant, we have to stop him to win the game.” Chaminade Madonna finished the regular season (7-2) with their only losses coming at the hands of University School and Venice.
