Day 2 Recap

December 31, 2010
By Marques Burnett of Naples Holiday Shootout

Westlake 47   South Broward 43; Summary: Westlake's intensity, rebounding, and winning of the turnover column led them to a solid win over a good South Broward squad.

Edgewater 64 Barron Collier 49; Summary: The Lady Eagles of Edgewater soared thanks to good team defense and Trimaine McCullough running the floor like her feet were on fire.

Fayette Co. 67  Estero 33; Summary: Brianna Banks got to the cup early causing the Lady Tigers to take off and never look back in their win over Estero...

Community School 54  P.K. Yonge 42; Summary: Michelle Woods leads Community School of Naples to the win over P.K. Yonge

Oakton 42  Archbishop Wood 36; Summary: This was not a pretty game, but it wasn't a sloppy one either - just a case of both teams refusing to let the other pull away. Oakton was able to pull out the win.

St. Joseph's 80  duPont Manual 77; Summary: Best game of the tourney so far. St. Joe's used inside finishing by Sydney Stipanovich and clutch free throw shooting to get the win over one of the best teams to watch all tourney: duPont Manual.

Germantown 41 Archbishop Carroll 36; Summary: It was a scrappy, low scoring game, but Stephanie Keys buckets helped Germantown get the W.

Good Counsel 84  Mercy Academy 67; Summary: Fun game to watch the way both teams scored. Lauren Faris did a nice job at point for Mercy, but Good Counsel "kept the Faith" Randolph for the win.
