Boys lose opener to Kentucky Country Day

The Brossart Mustangs began the 2014 campaign with a loss. The Mustangs gave up a goal in the 25th minute of the game and couldn't find the back of the net.
The Mustangs started the night with many chances at the goal. Four mintues into the contest a great cross found a Mustang with a open goal but the header just missed. Then two minutes later a corner kick was taken and again right inside the 8 yards and again the header went high. In the 12th minute KCD made a mad dash and Jeff Paulin came up with a great save to keep the score 0-0. In the 15th minute another chance with a goalie hesitating and then deciding to come out and an the Mustangs had a empty net and somehow was unable to score.
Then in the 25th minute KCD got a shot from 16 yards out which was a blast, Jeff Paulin made a great diving save however was only able to block it and another KCD player sent the rebound into the net for the 1-0 score that would eventually win the game.
The Mustangs played a good second half and had many opportunities, but couldn't buy a goal and the game ended with the 1-0 loss. The Mustans will regroup and play on Wednesday against North Oldham.
