Mustangs Impressive in 2nd Indoor Meet of the Year

The Bishop Brossart Track and Field team travelled down the AA to compete at Mason County this past Saturday. They won the meet in impressive fashion, defeating the host Mason County 155 to 76. Due to the weather conditions several teams did not travel to the meet, but there was still some top competitors from around the state.
The Mustangs won the 4x800, 4x400, Drew Berkemeyer won the Long and Triple Jump as well as the hurldes, Michael Caldwell won the 800M run, and newcomer Gabe Roberts jumped 5'6 to win the high jump in his first ever attempt. It was an overall impressive performance across the board for the Mustangs.
The team will be back in action next Saturday again at Mason County, as they continue to prepare for the Indoor State Championships on March 8th.
Michael Caldwell has qualified for the University of Kentucky's Wildcat Classic, which will take place next Saturday. Caldwell earned a spot in this meet by his times in the mile and half mile last season. He will be competing against some of the best competition in the eastern United States.
