Jennings Out for the Season
January 18, 2014By Christopher Jennings of Bishop Brossart High School
Jake broke his hand in two places yesterday at practice. He said he was going for a steal and caught his defenders arm between his ring and middle fingers, breaking the metacarpels of both fingers. The x-ray showed, very clearly both breaks. Jake's hand was casted and the doctor wants to see him each week for the next six weeks. His concern is that if the breaks do not heal correctly, they may have to pin the bones. Obviously, we are hopeful that the breaks heal correctly and no sugery has to take place.
The Jennings family, the coach and players, and all of Mustang nation are disappointed with this news. Jake was an integral part of the success of boys team. There are several goals which he wanted to be a part of, including Alex's 1000th point, All A State, Districts, and Regionals. He will continue to be a part of the team, assisting the coaches from the sideline and cheering on his teammates. Congrats to Jake on an exciting season. Good luck to the Mustangs, as they move forward.
