Bishop Brossart Overwhelms Oneida Baptist

Bishop Brossart won easily over Oneida Baptist on Saturday afternoon in the Touchstone ALL A Classic Elite Eight. The Mustangs had 27 shots and 18 on goal to only 4 shots and 2 on goal for Oneida. The Mustangs win 7-0 and moved on to the Final 4 game against Paintsville at 8:00pm
Jacob Jennings got the game winning goal in the 8th minute. The first score and only goal needed came on a nice pass from Josh Keuper, who picks up the game winning assist. Mark Goller picks up the Great American Insurance Goal of the Game in the 9th minute of the game to make it 2-nil. Eli Neinaber gets the assist on Mark’s goal.
Mitch Parnell makes the score 3-0 when he sends a blast past the keeper for the 3-0 lead and the route was on. After a penalty was called on Onedia in the box Drew Miller got the PK past the keeper for the 4-0 lead and the Mustangs were wondering who would be their next opponent at 8:00p.m. The score at the half was 4-0.
Drew Berkemeyer made it a 5-0 game when he sent a rocket past the goalie for his goal of the game. Sophomore, Joey Hickman got his goal in the 60th minute of the game to make the score 6-0. The extra point came in the 78th minute of the game when Mitch Parnell got split the uprights. The snap and hold was great as Joey Hickman picked up the assist.
The defense was remarkable as they get their 9th shutout on the year and Oneida had no real opportunities at the goal. Andrew Erickson and Jeff Paulin combined on the shutout.The Mustangs record improve their record to 12-1 on the year.
