Once again it was Bishop Brossart's defense that proved to be the edge for Coach Josh Feldmann's team forcing the Lady Jacket's into 16 turnovers and a 38.5% shooting percentage. When the game ended Bishop Brossart had advanced with a 55-32 win. It was their lowest scoring total of the year. The previous low was 37 in a 43-37 loss to Rowan County. Brossart improves to 14-3 while Nicholas Co. ends their All “A” run at 12-6. Cori Ziegler gave the 'Stangs some outside punch with a 15 point performance hitting 7 of 14 shots, while Sarah Futscher was an inside force again with 14 points and 5 rebounds. Brossart had a 32-18 advantage on the boards and held a 15-0 edge in second chance points and 12-0 in points off the bench. The Lady 'Stangs held a 19-13 first quarter advantage and opened that up to 31-22 in the second quarter. A 24-10 third quarter put the game out of reach. Madison Eisenman chipped in 7 points for the 'Stangs. Reese Martin had a solid game for the Lady Jackets to lead all scorers with 17. Bracken County pulled away in the final minutes from paris for a hard fought 49-34 win the play Brossart in the Championship game at 7 PM Saturday at Paris. The game will feature the 10th Region two winningest teams so far this year. Brossart is 14-3 while the Lady Bears enter the contest 13-2. Bishop Brossart beat Bracken County in both meetings last year. They are the defending 10th Region All “A” Champions. They beat St. Patrick 45-29 in last year's region final and wound up finishing third at the Touchstone State Tournament in Frankfort, Ky.
