Lady "Stangs Upset On The Hill

The Brossart Lady Stangs and the NCC Breds played a contentious first half, with the Breds emerging with a 30-27 advantage after sixteen minutes of play, but it was the third quarter that would prove to be pivotal and would seal the Stangs' fate, being outscored 20-7 in the period, leaving them a 14 point deficit to attempt to overcome.  That deficit would swell to 21 points before the Lady Stangs were able to mount a comeback effort which came up 10 short, sending our gals back out US27, tagged with our second loss of the season, and second NKAC Division II setback.
    While the Lady Stangs outscored the Breds 48-45 in periods 1, 2, and 4, the dominance of the Breds in the third stanza proved to be the difference.  Madison Eisenman recored a breakout 20 point performance, while Sarah Futscher the Lady Stangs' go-to gal was limited to merely 6 points on the night, while here counterpart Nicole Kiernan put 19 points on the board for the home team.  
   Our Lady Stangs will break for exams, and will then travel to Maysville on Saturday afternoon for a 1:30pm encounter with the Mason County Lady Royals.  They will then head to Frankfort on December 27th where they will take on Anderson County out of the 8th Region in the Staxx Bar-B-Que Capitol City Showdown, where they will play three games through Saturday, December
