Home » Football NewsMundy's Mill Open Subregion With Win!October 14, 2012 By Royal Maxwell of Mundy's Mill High SchoolMundy's Mill running back Rodney Smith rushed for 320 yards and two touchdowns as the Tigers defeated Mount Zion 31-12 on Thursday for their first win of the season. Smith had scoring runs of 40 and 20 yards at Tara Stadium as the Tigers improved to 1-4 overall and 1-0 in Region 4A-AAAAA. Mount Zion dropped to 0-5 and 0-1. "The team came out and played well," Mundy's Mill coach Greg Manior said. "This win means a lot to the team. I've been reminded the kids that we have to stay focused for the rest of our games." Also scoring for the Tigers was defensive line Raleek Taylor, who scored on a 20-yard interception. Darius Willis had a 2-yard touchdown run.
