Home » Middle School NewsApril 2,2011 / 29th Annual All-City Music Festival.March 24, 2011 Middletown High School29th Annual All-City Music Festival. The festival will feature students in beginning and advanced band and chorus classes, and recorders from our eight elementary schools; Keigwin Band and Chorus; W.W.M.S. Band and Chorus; and the M.H.S. Concert Band and Concert Choir. This year’s festival follows 28 highly successful performances and we anticipate another rewarding year. The Festival will be held on April 2nd, at 6:00PM in Wesleyan University’s Freeman Athletic Center Hockey Arena.
Please note rehearsals, performance times, and places listed below. We realize that winter and early spring weekends are full of activities and schedule conflicts. However, the more rehearsals students attend, the more comfortable they will feel performing. We encourage our students to attend ALL rehearsals in order to experience the highest level of performance. The last rehearsal will be held at Wesleyan University on April 1st from 6:00-7:30PM. To help with improving the festival we want to give all the ensembles a chance to rehearse once in the arena. Students should have all their music properly prepared by the first rehearsal. Band students please remember to bring your folding music stand to all rehearsals and to the performance. Music stands will be available for purchase at all rehearsals at a sale price of $12.00. Please put your musicians name on instrument case and stand.
