A-Team Volleyball Show their Skills in Tournament

On Saturday, September 22nd, the KISD schools have brought back the A-Team Volleyball Tournament for 2012 playing in a non-bracket format. The tournament, whose goal was to provide teams with pool play, featured all of the JH teams in the district, but the Maverick girls for both grade levels competed against Mayde Creek JH, Beckendorff JH, McDonald JH, and WoodCreek JH.

The 7A Lady 7A team defeated Mayde Creek and faired well in their other games. The 8A ladies were able to split with WoodCreek and defeated the Mayde Creek Gators.

All of the girls enjoyed the play and the chance to become familiar with their competitor's skills. Coach Rochelle Harris (7A) and Coach Holli Goddard (8A) are proud of their girls!
