MSU women's basketball team needlessly penalized by NCAA

The NCAA has come under heavy fire this week for everything from a lack of institutional control to serious misdeeds within its compliance office. Essentially, it admitted that it can’t even follow its own rules.

But hey, at least the governing body of college sports proved that it’s still good at one thing: punishing the innocent.

In this instance, it's the women's basketball team at Montclair State.
