Hawks Advance To Regional Finals

Mohawk Valley Community College will return to familiar territory on Sunday, the Region III Championship Game, following a 71-52 win over Fulton Montgomery in the regional semifinals.

The Hawks were led by sophomore guard Shaniece Brown's 25 points and 11 rebounds.

Victoria Thomas added 11 points and 10 rebounds while Barrie Brooks scored 14 points and added 10 rebounds.

MVCC shot 25-34 at the free throw line.

In the other regional semifinal, Onondaga Community College jumped out to an early first half lead enroute to a 72-57 win over Clinton Community College.
