Our Mills Comets took down the McClellan Lions on last Tuesday's night confrence matchup. The game boiled down to who played the best defense, and the Comets locked. They went into halftime with a nine point lead over the Lions, but things would get more intense after the half. The lions came out of halftime forcing the Comets into three straight turnovers that would give them their momentum back. Down the stretch, the Lions would tie the ball game from Comet turnovers. Heading into the fourth quarter, the Lions would try and make a run, but the Comets would come back with an answer that was just unstoppable for the Lions. The game had a three point difference with 17 seconds left and the ball in the hands of the Lions. Tre Harris from McClellan was forced to shoot a contested three pointer with two hands surrounding his sight that would cause him to miss at the buzzer. The Comets were led by Omar Avance who scored 15 points to lead our Comets to victory. The Final Score was 60-57. This moves the Comets to 2-3 in conference and gives them a great opportunity to make a playoff fun.
